Who We Are

Christ the King Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in the Southeastern Iowa Synod. We presently have approximately 900 members of all walks of life. Our setting invites fellowship and we have a heart for service.

It is of primary importance to us to discover more about how God was revealed to us through Jesus Christ, studying the Word of God, living out the faith in our daily life among our neighbors, and promoting lay leadership and ministry.

What We Believe

We believe in the Triune God - God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge one God in three persons.

We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We trust the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.

We affirm and identify with the confessions of the Lutheran Church. We affirm the centrality of grace alone, faith alone and word alone.

We practice and believe in the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.

We value each and every human being. Created in God's image, all human life has dignity. Since God sees humanity as worth dying for, we affirm and acknowledge the dignity of all human life.
