GREETINGS FRIENDS, DISCIPLES AND APOSTLES OF JESUS CHRIST,

Matthew’s gospel ends with the promise, “I am with you always, to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20) and this week in the wake of the Sermon on the Mount (Mt 5-7) we hear Jesus saying that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few (Mt 9:37) and then Jesus summons his disciples and gives them authority over unclean spirits and to cure disease and sickness.

Jesus entrusted His work to our hands when he ascended into heaven and gives us gifts to carry out his work. He also assured us that He will always be with us, to the end of the age! So no matter where we go, God is already there and that should give us some confidence and hope as we navigate our world.

Let’s have some CTK summer fun with this verse and with tiny Jesus. Here’s how it works. Take a tiny Jesus with you to summer activities, travel, etc. Take a picture of where tiny Jesus goes with you this summer. Selfies are welcomed!

Caption the picture with date, location, and your name. Send the picture to Pastor Connie or the church office. We will make a photo collage for the big screen. It will be amazing when we see all the places tiny Jesus goes with us.

I hope you saw tiny Jesus in the picture of the intergenerational mission trip group last week. I think he’ll come with us to Kentucky. Tiny Jesus is at Camp Ewalu too. I wonder if the campers will find him.

After Preschool graduation, a preschooler along with her sibling and their parents and grandparents were in the process of discovering our tiny Jesus’ in the fellowship area which prompted awonderful conversation between us and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in a way that brings joy and laughter.

At our Ewalu Co-op Formation Retreat, one of the participants from Waverly shared with us how tiny Jesus kept showing up their family vacation. See what fun the Holy Spirit might work through you and the tiny Jesus. Bold Inquisitive Belief

Loving Expansively,

Pastor Connie Spitzack
