I began serving Christ The King Lutheran Church in the role of Faith Community Nurse in 12/2025.  This ministry has been on my mind for quite some time and my retirement in 2024 has now allowed this to happen. My nursing career has previously been as a coordinator for the Heart Transplant Program at The University of Iowa and I cherish the long-term relationships with people I was able to make there.

Faith Community Nursing ministry supports the health and well-being of our congregation by offering education, referrals, support, communion, and prayer. 

Faith Community Nursing integrates faith and health, caring for body, mind, and spirit. Visits can be as simple as a conversation at church or by phone or in-person visits from your home or in the hospital.
